Helicopter Pod for Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS)
The RIEGL VPX-1 is a lightweight, aerodynamically designed helicopter pod optimized for high-precision airborne LiDAR mapping. It integrates RIEGL’s VUX-series laser scanners (such as the VUX-120, VUX-160, VUX-180, or VUX-240) with a high-end IMU/GNSS system and three oblique high-resolution cameras for simultaneous LiDAR and image capture. Delivering up to 2 million measurements per second, the VPX-1 ensures dense, accurate point clouds for corridor, city, and terrain mapping.
